Communication Audit: IAT Insurance Group

IAT Insurance Group is a property-casualty insurance and surety carrier providing consultancy services related to insurance and underwriting. The intended audience for the communication audit is IAT’s marketing and communication team, leadership, and board of directors. When creating the audit, I utilized the format provided by Barbara Diggs-Brown, which includes an executive summary, introduction, methodology, audit diary, results, conclusions and recommendations, appendix, and references (Diggs-Brown, 2013).

The goal of this artifact is to assess internal and external communication for alignment of culture, identity, and brand, and to write recommendations for improving organizational communication for IAT Insurance Group. Throughout the audit process, I conducted interviews, observed office spaces and branding, and reviewed internal and external communication artifacts such as the company intranet, brand guidelines, social media channels, and website. All artifacts and communications were analyzed based on consistency, inclusiveness, and effectiveness.
