Agent Training Library: IAT Insurance Group

This artifact is comprised of a need that surfaced during the launch of IAT’s new quote, bind, and issue system ‘Unity’. Unity is a technology platform that allows IAT’s agent partners to self-serve their clients through a portal for quick and easy access to quote, bind, and issue insurance policies. During the development and launch of Unity, the business realized that training resources would need to be hosted on IAT’s website so that agents could access documentation for the new system.

With the help of a website developer, I proposed and conceived a Unity training resources library that would live on IAT’s corporate website. The training library is a self-serve library for agents that is password protected and contains both job aids and video assets. When developing the library, considering user experience was the most important factor.

I ensured that the library was mobile-friendly, contained search functionality and that agents would be able to filter the training resources by both business line and categories. Since the launch of the training library, we have received positive feedback from agents on the usability of the library and will be utilizing a similar approach for other business units’ training needs moving forward.
